Who runs Pawsa

What Pawsa does

Pawsa is a noticeboard that connects pet owners with pet sitters (for an hour, a day or several days) and with people ready to adopt an animal for good.

We are not an agency and we don't employ the pet sitters: the care or adoption agreement is between the two of you. We don't check the documents, home or experience of members, unless the profile clearly says so. Meet first and use common sense: you'll find some tips on the Safety page.

Your account

You must be at least 18 and confirm your email to sign up. Your account is personal: don't share it and keep your password secret.

Give true information about yourself and your animals. You can delete your account at any time from your Profile, under «Your data».

Prices and payments between users

Pet sitter and request prices are a guide. You agree the fee between you and pay it outside the site: Pawsa doesn't collect this money, takes no commission and doesn't guarantee it.

Adoption is free: anyone asking for money to rehome an animal should be reported. Animals are not sold on Pawsa.

Pet sitter subscription and boost

Anyone who opens a pet sitter listing gets the first month free. After that, a subscription is needed to stay visible and send offers: €5 a year. The boost, which puts your listing at the top of searches with a «Featured» label, costs another €5 a year. Prices include taxes.

You pay on Stripe's secure page: card details never go through Pawsa. The subscription and the boost renew every year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your area, under Payments › «Manage or cancel»: they stay active until the end of the year already paid.

If you are a consumer, you have 14 days from payment to change your mind: write to ciao@pawsa.it and we'll refund you.

If you delete your account, the subscription and the boost are cancelled at once and there are no further charges.

What is not allowed

Posting false, offensive or discriminatory content, or content that isn't yours (for example other people's photos). Selling animals or asking for money for an adoption. Advertising, spam or scams. Using contacts found on Pawsa for anything other than caring for animals.

Anyone caring for an animal must respect its welfare and animal protection laws.

Reviews

You can leave a review only after a booking marked as «Completed», and it must describe a real experience. False or offensive reviews, or reviews written for yourself, are removed.

Reports and blocking

With «Report» you alert the admins, and the person you report doesn't see your name. We can remove content and block accounts that break these rules, without notice when people or animals are at risk.

Liability

Pawsa provides the noticeboard but takes no part in agreements between users: within the limits of the law, we are not liable for damage one user causes to another, to an animal or to property. Before the care starts, agree who pays for the vet and any damage, and check whether you have insurance that covers pet care.

We do our best to keep the site running, but it may sometimes be down for maintenance or because of a fault.

If we change these terms

We update the date at the top of the page. For important changes we let you know in advance, by email or on the site.

Governing law

Italian law applies. If you are a consumer, disputes go to the court where you live, and the protections the law gives you always remain.
